the Black Girls Rule series- Shirley Chisholm T-shirt
We’re excited to introduce the BLACK GIRLS RULE t-shirt series! For our first installment we pay homage to SHIRLEY CHISHOLM.
Shirley Chisholm was both the first woman and the first African American to run for the nomination of a major party for President of the United States. Already the first black woman to be elected to the United States Congress in 1968, Chisholm made her ambitious attempt to win the White House decades before her country was ready for her. AUDACITY normally comes with a negative connotation, often explained as something you should never have. But, where would Black women be if they didn't have THE AUDACITY?
The limited edition Shirley Chisholm t-shirt is an adult unisex item with an oversized fit. For a normal fit, please size down.
The garment is pre-shrunk during the garment dye and wash processes for almost no shrinkage at home
100% cotton
Garment-dyed ring spun fabric
Twill taped neck and shoulders for extra durability
Our first installment of the Black Girls Rule series is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Victoria Ntozi Mahlangeni-Byndon M.D. A dedicated mother, caregiver to all, and a South African Queen. In her honor a portion of sales will be donated to Movement in Omaha for Race Equity (MORE) to develop an educational symposium with the Botswana Historical Society and South Africans to help bridge those worlds together."
God Bless, Love you, Stay Focused." -Dr. Victoria Ntozi Mahlangeni-Byndon M.D.
